Family Run Business
The idea all began in 1993 when Airmen Calvin McElroy began creating his own version of BBQ sauce while stationed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Calvin was a cook at the Academy Hospital dining facility. One day, by mistake, the dining hall received an over-abundance of 22 cases of spareribs.
Naturally, Calvin accepted the challenge to remedy the situation. Calvin whipped up a healthy batch of his BBQ sauce, served the ribs at lunch, and sold out within 2 hours!
Popularity grew as Calvin began making the sauce for backyard BBQ's, friends and family. The BBQ was a highly requested at all social events. After leaving the military 5 years later, Calvin began cutting meat for a major grocery chain, attending culinary school, and creating more great sauces. Calvin's extensive knowledge of cuts of meat, cooking skills and creativity has transformed into a thriving business.

We are a family business officially started in 2010. We offer amazingly great gourmet sauces produced in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the base of beautiful Pikes Peak. We frequent many local farmers markets and street festivals. We are a local minority owned small business and are Colorado Proud! We are listed under the Colorado Department of Agriculture as a Colorado Proud Producer. When you buy from us, you are investing in Colorado's economy.
